I've been reading a few blogs lately about what good is coming out of this recession we are facing right now, this recession that has caused thousands to lose their jobs, people to lose their homes, and for the world to get even more complicated in the face of many financial downfalls. But we must not lose sight of the good coming out it, for one, it's making people find what's really important in life, it's showing us all that our lives shouldn't be built around our houses and our cars and our material belongings, they should be built around the kind of life we lead and what we do with what we have. It's also brought out a group in the workforce, many of whom spent at least part of their college years shortly before the recession truly hit hard, and who graduated when there were no jobs, when the economy was bleak, when markets staggered and we suddenly had to find another way to accomplish what we had always planned to. Many of us spent a few years gaining experience, working in the field, and as the economy is slowly now recovering, we are coming to a juncture. We are at a crossroads, do we continue on in the field, doing it the way it's always been done, or do we move forward with a new way of thinking, and aimed at creating a nook, a niche in our fields, a new way to do things.
Reverie Design Studio is just such a niche. We offer the typical design services, and we can provide for you what you'd get from any design firm that you hire, and we'll do it at a higher caliber. But we also offer something that not many firms do, we offer unique packages for your needs, a "pick your package" type of offer for clients, in which you may only need a presentation board, or a few renderings, or a material package, or you might need the whole thing. We are affordable, prompt and deliver fantastic results in a short period of time. We are mobile, and technology driven which makes us very accessible. Whether it's a video chat needed to answer questions, or an email, whether we need to be wherever you are in person to meet and sit down and discuss the services, we will be there.
I think what sets us apart from all those great firms out there is a new way of looking at the design process, a new way of looking at how design is approached and what is the most beneficial for customers and clients now, in 2011 in this recession, in the world that we live in, right now. Design changes quickly, and the technology that it takes to create amazing designs now changes even quicker. We are up to date with the most current softwares, efficient in our process and will offer not only a fantastic product, but will build your design for you, so that it works, so that it makes sense.
This recession has no doubt caused a lot of problems and involved numerous people in its downfall, but we can't lose sight of the new minds that have emerged from it, the new ways that we can look at things and learn how to adapt. After all, if there's never any rain, there won't ever be rainbows.
Welcome to our blog where you can follow our projects and endeavors.

The Next Chapter
This is a very exciting moment for Reverie Design Studio as we launch our website and embark on our next chapter. With 3 projects under way, we are looking forward to whatever comes next. Design has a way of creating inspiration, of showing us what is possible, and of creating such a spark of emotion in a space, something that hits all of us in different ways and Reverie will emerge as that spark as we move forward.
Soon to come on this blog will be photos of projects that are under way this summer, renderings and images, interesting materials and bright colors. Follow us to see where we go and what we do and how we create designs that influence both the people and spaces we encounter....
